Concrete Pump Pad RepairBack to
||Pulp and Paper Manufacturing|
A combination of vibration and chemical leakage over several years of service had loosened and eroded this pump pad's concrete. Previous repair method involved pouring new concrete, however it never achieved good bond strength and also provided poor chemical resistance.
The concrete surface was sandblasted to remove loose concrete and create a rough profile. Devcon Release Agent was generously applied to the pump mounting base for easy removal or separation.Floor Patch™ was applied to the worn concrete. The pump mounting base was set and leveled on top of the uncured Floor Patch™. Fasteners were pushed through the pump mounting base into the uncured Floor Patch™. Following a full cure (24 hours), the pump mounting fasteners were tightened.
